Rooted in San Antonio
Cowboy Tree Care And Services is a San Antonio tree company built around a simple idea: treat every customer's property like it's our own, and every tree like it matters. The "Cowboy" name fits how we work — direct, hardworking, and at home whether we're on a tight inner-west lot near Woodlawn Lake or clearing cedar out on Hill Country acreage.

How We Work on Your Property
Good tree work is as much about respect as skill. Before the first cut, we walk the job with you, put the whole scope in writing, and set expectations — what stays, what goes, and exactly what it costs. There are no vague quotes and no surprise line items when we're done.
On site, we protect what stays: ground protection over lawns and beds, care around fences, gates, irrigation, and hardscape, and heavy limbs rigged down on ropes or lifted with a crane instead of dropped. When a tree is near a CPS Energy line, we coordinate with the utility rather than improvise — and we never send a climber into a tree touching a live wire.
When we pack up, the only sign we were there is the work you asked for: brush chipped, wood hauled or stacked to your preference, and the site raked clean. If we found something else worth knowing about your trees, you'll get it in writing — not as a hard sell, just so you can plan ahead.

Straight Talk on Licensing & Credentials
We believe in earning trust with honesty. San Antonio requires a city Tree Maintenance License for tree work inside city limits, with at least $300,000 in general liability insurance — and any tree company you hire, including us, should be able to show you a license number and a current insurance certificate on request. Always ask.
Certain specialized work carries its own requirements — for example, commercially applying oak-wilt injection (propiconazole) in Texas requires a Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide-applicator license. We only advertise and perform work we're qualified and equipped to do safely and legally.
